Kunal Vora. current AAARAD President, serves as Director of Administrative Operations and Assistant to the Head in the Department of Radiology at University of Illinois College of Medicine. Based in Chicago, he has played a significant leadership role in academic radiology administration, overseeing departmental operations, strategic initiatives, faculty support, and national benchmarking projects within radiology practice management.

With extensive experience in healthcare administration in the Chicago area, Kunal is recognized for advancing data-driven management practices and fostering collaboration among academic radiology departments nationwide. His leadership at UIC and within AAARAD continues to support innovation, operational excellence, and professional development across academic radiology programs.

Bradley “Brad” Gleichman, MBA, serves as Business Administrator for the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he oversees administrative operations, strategic planning, faculty support, and departmental business management within one of Oklahoma’s leading academic radiology programs.

Brad has built an extensive career in academic radiology administration, supporting clinical, educational, and research initiatives across the University of Oklahoma’s radiological sciences programs. His leadership responsibilities include operational management, financial oversight, program coordination, and collaboration with faculty and healthcare leadership to advance radiology services and academic excellence throughout the state of Oklahoma. Brad has been an active contributor to AAARAD, participating in national meetings, professional development initiatives, and administrative leadership activities that support academic radiology departments nationwide.

Mehul Lakhani, MBA, serves as Vice Chair of Finance and Administration for the Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in the Denver metropolitan area. In this leadership role, he oversees departmental finance, administration, strategic planning, operational management, and faculty support for one of the region’s premier academic radiology programs.

Based in Aurora and Denver, Colorado, Lakhani has developed an extensive career in academic radiology administration, supporting clinical operations, research initiatives, and educational programs across the University of Colorado’s radiology enterprise. His expertise includes healthcare operations, financial management, workforce planning, and organizational leadership within academic medicine.

In 2024, Mehul received AAARAD’s Outstanding Service Award in recognition of his leadership and service to the organization.

Ron Zink serves as Vice President for Radiology and Radiation Oncology at Temple University Health System, where he oversees clinical operations, strategic planning, and administrative leadership across radiology and oncology services. With decades of experience in healthcare administration, he has led operational initiatives focused on imaging services, patient care improvement, workforce management, and financial performance within large academic medical centers.

Ron served for many years as Director of Clinical Services at Temple University Health System, managing diagnostic imaging and ancillary healthcare operations across multiple hospitals and outpatient facilities. His leadership has contributed to improvements in operational efficiency, revenue cycle management, patient satisfaction, and staff development throughout Temple’s radiology enterprise.

Deb Smith, MBA, is the Senior Department Administrator for the Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. With over 23 years of dedicated service to Emory University, Deb oversees all business administration, fiscal operations, and human resources for the department’s flagship research, education programs, and faculty affairs.

As a core member of the executive leadership team, she is a principal thought partner in driving organizational effectiveness, managing multi-site physician practices, and co-authoring innovative strategic developments—including Emory’s widely recognized enterprise-wide imaging transformation published in the Journal of the American College of Radiology. Passionate about investing in human capital, Deb directs non-clinical professional training pipelines and is a highly regarded champion of workforce mentorship.

John D. Hundt, M.H.S., is the Department Administrator for the UT Southwestern Department of Radiology, where he directs the strategic, operational, and fiscal infrastructure across clinical imaging services, advanced research initiatives, and medical education programs. John brings over three decades of premier academic health system experience to his work, including a distinguished 28-year tenure at Johns Hopkins Medicine.

A passionate advocate for professional management practices in medicine, John is a past National President of the Association of Academic Surgery Administrators (AASA) and currently serves on the AAARAD Board of Directors.

He holds a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Texas A&M University
