Speaker Bios

Kunal A. Vora, MBA, CPA: Kunal is a healthcare administration leader with more than 25 years of experience in academic medicine, with a focus on radiology operations, strategy, and organizational leadership. He currently oversees administrative operations for the Departments of Radiology and Urology at the University of Illinois Chicago and has previously served as interim administrator for the Departments of Dermatology and Pediatrics.
Kunal has been an active member of the AAARAD Board since 2021 and has held several leadership positions, including at-large board member, Treasurer, and Secretary. He currently serves as President-Elect. He also chairs the AAARAD-SCARD Annual Survey Committee (ASASC), which leads national benchmarking efforts in academic radiology. An active contributor to the healthcare administration community, Kunal has presented at multiple AAMC and AAARAD meetings and served as faculty in the Master of Healthcare Administration program at the UIC School of Public Health, where he taught the executive cohort. Kunal holds an MBA from the University of Illinois Chicago and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His professional interests include operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, workforce strategy, financial sustainability, and leadership in academic healthcare.

Bradley “Brad” Gleichman, MBA, serves as Business Administrator for the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he oversees administrative operations, strategic planning, faculty support, and departmental business management within one of Oklahoma’s leading academic radiology programs.

Brad has built an extensive career in academic radiology administration, supporting clinical, educational, and research initiatives across the University of Oklahoma’s radiological sciences programs. His leadership responsibilities include operational management, financial oversight, program coordination, and collaboration with faculty and healthcare leadership to advance radiology services and academic excellence throughout the state of Oklahoma. Brad has been an active contributor to AAARAD, participating in national meetings, professional development initiatives, and administrative leadership activities that support academic radiology departments nationwide.

Mehul Lakhani, MBA, serves as Vice Chair of Finance and Administration for the Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in the Denver metropolitan area. In this leadership role, he oversees departmental finance, administration, strategic planning, operational management, and faculty support for one of the region’s premier academic radiology programs.

Based in Aurora and Denver, Colorado, Lakhani has developed an extensive career in academic radiology administration, supporting clinical operations, research initiatives, and educational programs across the University of Colorado’s radiology enterprise. His expertise includes healthcare operations, financial management, workforce planning, and organizational leadership within academic medicine.

In 2024, Mehul received AAARAD’s Outstanding Service Award in recognition of his leadership and service to the organization.

Ron Zink serves as Vice President for Radiology and Radiation Oncology at Temple University Health System, where he oversees clinical operations, strategic planning, and administrative leadership across radiology and oncology services. With decades of experience in healthcare administration, he has led operational initiatives focused on imaging services, patient care improvement, workforce management, and financial performance within large academic medical centers.

Ron served for many years as Director of Clinical Services at Temple University Health System, managing diagnostic imaging and ancillary healthcare operations across multiple hospitals and outpatient facilities. His leadership has contributed to improvements in operational efficiency, revenue cycle management, patient satisfaction, and staff development throughout Temple’s radiology enterprise.
 

Deb Smith, MBA, is the Department Administrator for the Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. With more than 23 years of service to Emory University, Deb oversees business administration and operations for department’s nationally recognized research and education programs, as well as faculty affairs administration for a faculty body approaching 300 members.

As a member of the department’s executive leadership team, she serves as a key business partner for physician practice management across three multi-site health systems, helping drive organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and strategic growth. Passionate about investing in human capital and leadership development, Deb champions talent strategies that strengthen culture, engagement, and performance. She has co-authored publications in the Journal of the American College of Radiology focused on enterprise-wide transformation and leadership development.

John D. Hundt, M.H.S., is the Department Administrator for the UT Southwestern Department of Radiology, where he directs the strategic, operational, and fiscal infrastructure across clinical imaging services, advanced research initiatives, and medical education programs. John brings over three decades of premier academic health system experience to his work, including a distinguished 28-year tenure at Johns Hopkins Medicine.

A passionate advocate for professional management practices in medicine, John is a past National President of the Association of Academic Surgery Administrators (AASA) and currently serves on the AAARAD Board of Directors.

He holds a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Texas A&M University

Habib Tannir, MS, FACHE, serves as Vice President of Diagnostic Operations at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. With extensive leadership experience spanning academic health systems, imaging services, laboratory medicine, and patient-centered operations, he oversees one of the nation’s largest diagnostic enterprises. Habib is a nationally recognized leader in healthcare operations, service excellence, and strategic innovation in academic medicine.
 

William Kirschner, MBA, is the Chief Administrative Officer for Penn Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He provides executive leadership for one of the country’s premier academic radiology departments, overseeing strategic planning, operations, finance, and organizational growth across a complex multi-site imaging enterprise.

Jennifer Sposato is a respected academic radiology administrator recognized for her leadership in departmental operations, strategic planning, and organizational development. Throughout her career, she has focused on advancing operational excellence, fostering collaborative leadership, and supporting the evolving mission of academic radiology.
 

Anna Spraycar, MSOD, serves as Vice Chair of Radiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. With expertise in organizational dynamics, operations, process improvement, and leadership development, she has helped guide one of the nation’s leading pediatric radiology programs through strategic growth and operational transformation.
 

Jessica Shank, PT, MPT, MBA, is the Administrator for the Department of Radiology at Jefferson Health. Drawing on a diverse background in clinical care, healthcare administration, and business leadership, she oversees departmental operations while supporting innovation, workforce development, and patient-centered imaging services.
 

Justin T. Deese, MBA, serves as Vice Chair of Finance and Administration for the Department of Radiology at the University of Washington in Seattle. In this role, he provides executive leadership for finance, strategic planning, and operations, supporting one of the nation’s leading radiology programs. With more than a decade of experience in academic medicine, Justin has led initiatives focused on financial stewardship, operational excellence, organizational development, and process improvement across many departments within UW Medicine and hospitals including, Harborview Medical Center, Fred Hutch Cancer Center, and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
   

Amanda Pechatsko, MBA, CRA, RT(R)(CT), serves as Executive Administrator of Radiology at WVU Medicine, where she has overseen clinical and professional services for the health system’s academic medical center since 2018. With more than 20 years of experience in radiology, Amanda brings a deep understanding of clinical operations, strategic planning, and organizational development within the academic healthcare environment. She is passionate about advancing radiology through innovative operational strategies, collaborative leadership, and a focus on developing high-performing teams.
