AAARAD At-Large Member – Membership

Chris Ellis, MHSA - At-Large Member (Membership)

Chris Ellis serves as the Administrator of the Department of Radiology and the Administrative Director of UAMS Health Imaging Services at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He came to the department in 2012 and added the financial and administrative management of the technical side in 2015. Prior to that, he served in leadership roles in the Department of Neurology and the College of Medicine Dean’s Office. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration. He joined AAARAD in 2012 and became a Board member in 2019, currently serving as Membership Coordinator.

At-Large Member Role and Responsibilities

The Board member, designated as At-Large, will work to develop relationships with members in order to best assist the goals of AAARAD organization. As a board member the At-Large Member is expected to make contributions toward the growth and development of the AAARAD organization and to help shape the future direction of the organization.

Annual & Periodic Tasks
  • Participate in development of periodic updates of relevant information for AAARAD members to be distributed via e-mail, posted on the website, or as the subject of a webinar
  • Provide support to Board positions and/or participation in identified task forces to ensure forward progress of the AAARAD Mission.
Monthly & Ongoing Tasks
  1. Participate in monthly Board conference calls
  2. Establish personal communication with key membership chairs of the annual task forces. Provide assistance as required.
  3. At request of the Board establish new communication with other radiology organizations or take on new projects deemed of importance to the Board and agreed upon during monthly Board conference calls.
